Welcome to the Knights of Columbus...
 Grand Knight Steve Rosenbauer received an unexpected
surprise at the 111th Ohio State Council Convention,
State Deputyʼs Dinner - our council received the “Saint
Peter Award” as one of the top ten councils in the state!
As a matter of fact, our council placed 10th for the honor
which was
awarded “statewide
regardless of
division or
diocese...for
their outstanding
efforts and
standing in the
State General
Program
contest. Eligible
councils shall
have earned the 2000 program points and have fulfilled
all ten (10) requirements for the Council Award of
Excellence.”
Prior to winning the Saint Peter Award, at the Saturday
morning awards presentation, Father Roettele council
received award ecognition for the Best Public Relations
Activity, Division Two: Harvest Food Bank, and then
received the Top State Award presented for Public
Relations Activity: Harvest Food Bank. But then Father
Roettele shared the stage with Saint Joseph of the Three
Rivers Council #11550, one of our brother councils in
District #9, with each winning the Pope Benedict XVI
Award.
The Pope Benedict XVI Award was presented to
councils who:
Report the required 30 program activities in the six (6)
reporting areas and earn the 2000 program points
Submit all the required
Council Award of Excellence Requirements
Achieve a positive gain in all fund raising activities
(5% or greater).
